However, all of the "alcohol is so perfect and nothing bad ever happens to anyone because of it" people are idiots. I personally know lots of people who were not on anything other then alcohol and have wrecked their cars, and were 100% at fault. Two of them even ended up in the ICU because the driver who was drunk off his ass drove right off the road into a tree in someones front yard.
People can say w.e they want about it, but to me it is just as bad or worse then any other abused drug, including prescription drugs. People as a whole have zero self control and only care about themselves and how "drunk" they can get. Evey thing else takes a second place. I cant even name a 20 people out of the hundreds I know that do not drink, and because they do, I refuse to be around them. I am hoping for natural selection to kick in for the most of them =)
So I agree with those against it, and am for MUCH more strict use of prescription drugs. Seems like every teenager in the world has xanax now.
Perhaps the issue is one of individual responsibility and not the availability of the drug itself.

Anyhow, one day I had some good. Like real good... Anyways, I told her to take a puff or three. For an hour she insisted she didn't feel any different. Then immediately after saying that, she said something about her front mouth. So my work was done.

It's not a power grab. The legislature created the law, the judiciary upheld the law, and now the executive agencies are enforcing the law.
Please explain your stance further.
Prove me wrong. Show me in the Constitution where it gives the federal government the right and power to legislate drugs.I wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool

In a hypothetical situation, from a common sense standpoint, in a world where marijuana was legal, say your child has severe ADHD. Would you feel more comfortable cooking with marijuana at a physician's recommendation, or would you feel more comfortable giving your child lab produced meth-amphetamines?

46Tbird on the other hand is capable of distinguishing between the responsible use of an item. Remember, not everyone is a degenerate that has no common sense. You shouldn't legislate for the lowest common denominator, you should impose penalties that the lowest common denominator doesn't want to deal with, creating an effective deterrent.
