Sounds like Hank (and everyone else) is better without ESPN. Too bad there are waaaay too many mindless drones that won't do something that would make ESPN regret their attack on our rights... something like a boycott.

Too many people "need" their sports. ESPN can and will do whatever they want and back the agendas of their string-pullers.

When you believe in something you better be ready to back it up all the way and if that means getting cut from the biggest gig you ever had so be it....
Homers like this guy ^^^ will justify attacks on rights if it is something they don't like.

Sad but true. I haven't watched one game and haven't missed or noticed it one bit. Definitely not loosing sleep or worrying over it. lol

              Saw this on his website.
"Some of us have strong opinions and are often misunderstood. My analogy was extreme – but it was to make a point. I was simply trying to explain how stupid it seemed to me - how ludicrous that pairing was. They’re polar opposites and it made no sense. They don’t see eye-to-eye and never will. I have always respected the office of the President.”

“Every time the media brings up the tea party it’s painted as racist and extremists – but there’s never a backlash – no outrage to those comparisons… Working class people are hurting – and it doesn’t seem like anybody cares. When both sides are high-fiving it on the ninth hole when everybody else is without a job – it makes a whole lot of us angry. Something has to change. The policies have to change.” – Hank Williams, Jr.

So because he is a singer , he doesn't have a right to express his opinion? That's just fucking stupid.

And yes I support ESPN's right to fire him, as dumb as I think it is, I still support the right.

I like how when a singer comes out and says something political it is just fine. Until it is something the lefties don't agree with.

Was anyone having a shit fit about what that worthless black dirtbag Kanye West had to say about Bush? Nope

But this time it is different!

I don't get the "shut up and sing" people. Does that apply to the CEO of kraft? shut up and make cheese. How about the trash collector? shut up and throw garbage! If this view were an absolute, no one could voice an opinion other than polliticians and those employed as commentators. I'm relatively certain that isn't the idea our nation was built upon. Just as I can voice my opinion on the stupidity of a network firing a performer over a comment regarding politics, and my support of right to fire laws.
I'm gonna shut up and go work on some equipment now.
