  • Why do you think wall st protests aren't getting any coverage?

Not asking if you are for or against them, but for a week people have been protesting on Wall St.

Videos are all over youtube, but next to no major media coverage. Why do you think this is?

I been smoking joints and listening to the Grateful Dead for the last week and a half but I don't think this is having any effect, man!

What is the reason for the arrests? Cops seem a little amped up.

It is the same old bullshit. People with eight piercings in their face complain that they can't get a job that pays more than minimum wage so there must be some great injustice in the world.

I'm thinking the intent is to protest corruption of free market capitalism, but...

                    ...this

A friend on facebook that lives in NYC has been posting about it (how I found out about it) and she went down there this weekend to check it out and I asked her about it. She said there didn't seem to be much organization or a common thread. She said there were people with signs about that black guy that got executed, gay marriage supporters, anti tea party people, 9/11 truthers, war protesters, etc. Basically a clusterfuck.

If they want to get noticed they should protest at news stations that broadcast from those glass buildings in times square.

Wow...I forgot about this. Total non-event, then? Or can we blame the stock market drop on this? LOL.

I agree with this. To add though, I think this is what is wrong with a lot of people now, the whole self entitlement bullshit.

Instead of trying to fix the problem or root cause they are wanting the goverment to tend to their individual issues that shouldn't even be brought up, let alone be addressed. The, 'I need my hand out' or this is what I deserve attitude. Half of those people barely deserve the air they breathe, let alone anything requiring special attention.

                            this.

And the fact that very few of the protesters probably have any skin invested in wall st. probably doesn't help either.

I'd give 'em a hand out. I'd reach my hand out and then smash their face with the butt of my rifle.
