This is nothing new. Part of the GSA requirements for travel is we have to purchase "refundable airline tickets" in case our trip gets cancelled or we need to change plans and avoid change fees.
So I go look at the GSA contracted airfare site today to price a round trip flight from college station to DFW. It said we are allowed to pay $604 for a round trip flight booked more than 14 days out.
I then go to AA.com and book the cheapest, refundable ticket listed and it was $376....no discount codes entered. The average dumbass can book a cheaper flight than our "contracted government rates".
The funny thing is they think Obamacare will cut medical costs. LOL!
