Why exactly did Rick Perry support Al Gore?

I generally don't care so much for Perry. I do however think he stood out the most in the debate. I am still on the fence who I will go for. I don't know why anyone else other then Romney and Perry were there though. Looks like the rest are running out of steam.

Really? People actually fall for guys like Romney and Perry still? What is this, the 80's?

Oh he'll win. I guess he is better than Obama. Still just a shitbag though.

Funny. I view them as one in the same. They'll end up doing just about the same things, just with different backing and for "different reasons."

This. This and only this. Is all you'll ever need to know about Rick Perry.

People don't want to look at their long performance record. They would rather fall for the BS they spew for a year up to election time. Yeah, really smart, America. The people on the other side, especially ones who only vote based on race, aren't going to pay attention to the president's performance record, either. That's where America's opportunity lies; voting for the least sell-out, least corporate bought, most-consistent option we have. It doesn't take a genius to figure out who that is, and he WILL beat Obama. Too bad he won't get a chance to run our country.

In my opinion the only politician who ever changed parties the right way was Phil Graham. He resigned his office, forced another election and ran as a Republican and won. Changing parties after being elected is in my opinion a shitty way to do it.
