Is there no way to do the same thing you did, without heating the fuel? I take it you aren't doing that on your weedeater lol

Yes, there definately is a way to do this on a car without heating the fuel! All you need to do is have a hose running from above the gas tank to inside the gas tank at the bottom of it. Then install a fitting on top of the fuel tank above the level of the fuel and a big hose would attach to this. The other end of the hose would go to a valve so you could control the amount of vapor going into the engine and the other end of the valve would be another hose that leads to the intake. And yes, this is exactly what I'm doing with my lawn mower. I need to take some more pictures of it and post them up since I got the EGR system working.

I think this subject is basically for tards and this may have been mentioned but if you are going to use something as an alternative fuel, why not make that something used motor oil, transmission fluid and other fluids that are readily available in any non functioning vehicle? You can strain either of those through a filtration system and cut diesel fuel with them and burn them in any diesel powered vehicle. Your average vehicle today is going to hold 6-8 quarts of motor oil and a couple of quarts of tranny fluid. That is a couple of gallons of fuel per abandoned car that could be rolled into your diesel supply.

As for diesel fuel over gasoline, diesel lasts forever but when it is kept in a sealed tank the condensation from temperature changes causes algae to grow in the fuel. To fix this you "polish" the fuel which is a fancy way of saying you filter out the algae. Many large diesel powered ships have onboard polishing rigs that do this. They'll run these polishing rigs a lot while the ship is in port or when it is sitting for extended periods. You can also cut your diesel fuel with 1-2% gasoline and the gasoline will keep the algae from growing, although the engine you are running could be sensitive to that amount of gasoline, depends on the engine. Lots of people with diesel powered boats run into these issues with diesel when they put the boats in storage. Obviously there are additives that solve the problem as well.

This setup should also run on alcohol. Which you can actually make a stil and produce your own fuel at that point. The main point of this was to extend the range of gas powered devices, and to allow any combustible fuel with a low evaporation tempurature to be used. It is not an end all, but it is a way to make your fuel last longer and possibly to be able to run on other fuels.

But you think this subject is for tards so your opinion does not hold any worth to me anyway. Thank you, drive through.

                      • LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A San Fernando Valley adult entertainment studio began construction this month on what it calls a “post-apocalyptic” underground bunker in anticipation of a global catastrophe rumored to take place in late 2012.

A spokesman for Van Nuys-based Pink Visual said the bunker will be “far more than a mere bomb shelter or subterranean survivalist enclave” with amenities such as multiple fully-stocked bars, an enormous performing stage and a sophisticated content production studio.

“Our goal is nothing less than to survive the apocalypse to come in comfort and luxury,” said Pink Visual spokesman Quentin Boyer, “whether that catastrophe takes the form of fireballs flung earthward by an all-seeing deity, extended torrential rainfall, Biblical rapture, an earthquake-driven mega-tsunami, radioactive flesh-eating zombies, or some combination of the above.”

The studio’s website will also be maintained and updated throughout any potential disaster “even if those websites are only available on the bunker’s self-contained local network by that time,” Boyer added.

He declined to give the exact location of the bunker over “security concerns”.

The studio is currently working out details on the selection criteria for all non-Pink Visual personnel who they will allow to take refuge in the bunker, but Boyer said it will “likely include both merit-based and random selections, with Pink Visual performers, active site members and Twitter followers getting priority over the general public.”

Although no set number was provided, LA Weekly reported anywhere from 1,200 to 1,500 people will be allowed into the bunker by its planned completion date of September 2012.

So if you want to ride out the apocalypse in decadence and luxury, follow Pink Visual on Twitter for more details.
