Just like blowing yourself up to kill dozens of innocent people doesn't make you a good muslim. Going to church daily does bring you up to par on your religious convictions with the piety of most muslims however.

almost every time there is an attack some islamic leader comes out and condemns it. that said, when the violence in norther ireland was at its peak in the 80s and 90s very few catholics came out against it, and there were a lot of catholic groups in this country that supported it, some even gave money.

The Northern Ireland turmoil was politically and economically based, and religion was, once again, a handy tool used by the leadership of the opposing sides as a rallying point for secular causes. It essentially came down to British loyalists versus Irish nationalists, more so than Protestantism versus Catholicism.

WTF??? have you ever been to ireland? the whole thing was and still is about protestants vs catholics. I have been there, the people hate each other, many people that have nothing to gain politically or economically hated each other and would do horrible things to each other.

Do you seriously believe the IRA and Sinn Fein ever cared the least about Catholicism? They simply wanted Ireland to be anything but British, and since Britain was officially Protestant that made for a convenient enemy in the Irish Protestants. This tactic of subverting religion for secular ends is obviously effective, look at how it's duped you.

Do you seriously believe the Taliban is about furthering Islam or about pushing a political agenda of resisting modern capitalist society and the instant gratification that comes with ut?

I believe the Taliban simply have an agenda of control over their little corner of the world. They may embrace Islam and talk about resisting modern capatalist (read Western) society, but see how the leadership elite lived during the time they were in power.

Anytime an isolated incident involving a Christian wackos, the opposition in the Christian community is overwhelming. With the multiple Islamic-based mass threats, every once in a while, you get someone with a vague, half-hearted condemnation.

Apples and oranges. Your distain for Christians is not allowing you to post a valid argument.

It looks like someone bowed to the pressure of islam.

Here is another random site with the exact article, including the same pictures.
