But the phrase 'stupid union school' did make me giggle. Is that like McDonald's 'Hamburger University'?

Whats wrong with 'Hamburger University' lol
I just googled that and can't believe how many people that go there, never knew how serious they were.

I was carrying the apprentice plumber card until my 4th year but was getting more weld certs and wanted to travel so went that way instead.

You're right, I don't. I mean running a train HAS to be more complicated than movement under fire, learning to handle IED's, learning enough of multiple languages to get by in foreign countries, field stripping multiple weapons by touch in adverse conditions and returning them to working condition, leading a fire team and being responsible for their lives, knowing the Geneva convention as well as the most up to date ROE and so forth. Definately FAR easier than running a choo choo on a track.

Be honest I use to work in the plumbing field out of highschool. Guys that aren't licensed do licensed required work all the damn time. Normally it was the guy that had been doing plumbing about 7 or 8 years and had a felony and couldn't ever get his license from the state to begin with. The companies would pay them about $5 an hour less than a licensed plumber and would send them out in their own trucks running a crew just like a licensed plumber. It was always funny when an inspector would show up and they would haul ass or the inspector would chew the companies ass out but other than that nothing would happen.

That would never happen in a union shop. If the company is charging the customer for a licensed plumber bet your ass a licensed plumber would be doing the work.

I wish I knew the location where the tracks are automated. I'm going to have to bring this up in the next union meeting. I've been getting screwed all this time. If its so easy why don't you come apply.

Or he'd be doing nothing at all and stretching the job out as long as he can. And heaven forbid he's on the job and the union tells him to strike. Then you're just fucked

I have never seen anyone run from an inspection in 17 years, I'm not sure what shady company you worked at.

Each company I worked for kept strict records for each employee on any job site due to the fact that they charged per employee, and I never have seen a general contractor that would allow such a thing considering they are the ones paying per employee, every one I have been on validated licenses for each employee.

I think you are confusing laborers with wanna-be licensed plumbers. Or are straight out lying trying to defend your precious unions again.

Drive by any residential new construction neighborhood and tell me there is a licensed plumber and electrican in everyhouse each time there is plumbing or electrical work being done.
