Cost us somewhere between 1.2 and 2.5 million dollars, bought from a Canadian company. Why didn't he go with an American RV? Wonder what the mileage is and why he didn't go electric. Could it be because limited mileage is for the people, not him?

Money would have been spent either way and it is a hell of a lot cheaper than flying around AF1. Also I believe they have two buses, one will be used by the GOP candidate.

Personally I think the amount of money spent on POTUS security is ridiculous. Law of deminishing returns and what not...

its not just for obama, its for the president, and no matter whos job it is they have to be able to run the world from that coach. if you think about all the bus tours presidents have gone on in the past, the secret service probably spent 10s of millions of dollars renting and retrofitting other busses.

Not ridiculous at all, considering that since John F. Kennedy, assassinations were attempted on two sitting Presidents, Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan, along with the assassination of presidential candidate Bobby Kennedy and the attempted assassination of presidential candidate George Wallace.
