    1. Bush cut taxes but Obama voted to extend those same cuts.
    2. Bush spent $2 trillion on unwinnable wars but Obama didn't keep his promise to end them.
    3. Bush doubled discretionary spending and Obama did more of the same.
    4. Bush added entitlement benefits like Medicare drug benefit and Obama added ObamaCare, which makes the drug benefit look like a cake walk.
    5. Obama entered the largest economic and financial crisis ever that was made worse by bailouts, supported by Obama, to the banks and other institutions which and Obama failed to take action to prevent it from happening again.

Excellent post. Didn't Barry also inherit a 6% unemployment rate?

Unfortunately the only place you'll read this is here and not on the front page of the papers or internet articles that are trying to salvage the current POTUS.

The thesis of Nouriel Roubini's article isn't even worthy of intelligent comment.

oh no!! you mean a country that is run by capitalists is having money problems? large companies that should have went under got bailed out by the government? sounds like the profit driven companies are running the government and they ultimately don't give a shit about the rest of us as long as we are buying shit so they can stay rich and empowered.

maybe instead of the bailout they could have split the money between everyone that was employeed by those companies and it would have probably been put to far better use; like opeing new innovative companies and stimulating the economy at the same time.

i like having freedom, but when the top 1% of people in our country have 43% of the financial wealth, your asking for a depression.

truth is all economic systems will fail no matter how good they are on paper because when you add humans to the mix, corruption is sure to follow due to human greed/ ego.

our country was founded on principles of jemery bentham which was "the greatest good for the greatest number". it worked at first but now that the corporations rule is more like indentured servitude.

for other people to be monetarily rich, others have to bee poor (in debt). it's just the way it goes.

i think which ever form of economy you desire will eventually fail due to human greed. once some people (people with low integrity) figure out how to manipulate the system they will always exploit it to get ahead of the others. that's a sad fact. what is even worse it that most of the exploiters become our leaders.

i'm sorry but i seriously doubt the framers of the constitution wanted the top 1% having 43% our countries wealth. while the bottom 80% only count for 7% of the countries wealth.

what is worse is that the majority of the people in the top 1% don't contribute a damn thing to the country. all they do is move money to make more money and they are the ones who call all the shots.

either is just as good as the other IMO but when americans stopped caring about what happens in this country is when we got screwed, but it is not their fault. they are too busy working and facebooking to pull their heads out and figure out whats going on.

i just have one question for you. do you think that if every american citizen got 1 vote to vote on laws, issues, and elections that the country would be better or worse?

I either want less corruption or the ability to participate in it at the highest levels.
