I understand. With Paul's age and dreadful foreign policy, I just don't think he can pull the votes. That being said, I would love to see him as a "higher-up" in the new administration.

But putting Ryan as a running mate would help. I can see them as a very compatible team.

Yes, maybe the other way around. I like Perry/Ryan or Ryan/Perry or Ryan/Paul.

I do fear the a ticket with paul on it will kill the chances.

I really just want a different president.

It's not my fault dumbass America didn't get Paul in there earlier, but better late than never (or maybe too late).

Kind of funny. No one will pay attention to the man.

At this rate it is almost a walk-in and just a matter of waiting till the election in order to beat Obama. Many people who voted for Obama the first time will not vote for him again, that is just what the numbers are showing. I know they're considered the front runners, but I'm honestly more worried about Perry and Romney blowing this damn thing up making it actually close. On one hand you have the dream boat from TX who has plenty of shady past dealings to dig up and Robamney who relies 100% on his slick tongue and media favortism. The last straw poll just proves exactly what the people want. If the media gave Ron Paul half as much attention as Bachmann or a even a smaller portiong compared to Perry/Romney, this thing would be a total slam dunk in my opinion. Regular folks would not have a problem making the right decision next year and everyone loves a figure who, it's obvious now, has "got the media shaft" so to say. The country is primed for a real person with actual principles that have remained true for some time now to become president.

Bachmann is new and fresh. Paul's been running since 1988! You have an "attractive" 50-ish woman vs. a 76 year-old man. She's news (good or bad), while everyone pretty much knows what Paul stands for.

Not saying it's right or wrong, but just how I think the media sees it.

Can we for once get someone who is not a career politician?

Ron Paul is the poster child of a career politician, hell I think he has been running for president longer than most on this board have been alive.

The only one that hasn't been one would be Cain.

Cain is the only one I liked. Ron Paul seems crazy and is a bit too liberal for me.

So far Cain has my vote but I bet he is out before the Primaries.

Perry's to lose at the moment... and I don't put it past him to lose it!

Texas Governor Rick Perry, the new face in the race for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, has jumped to a double-digit lead over Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann with the other announced candidates trailing even further behind.
