Well, we all know Ron Paul is not going to get the nomination, when he's out where is everyone on Perry? Right now, he's the only one qualified and capable of winning in my opinion.

I'd crawl on my belly through broken glass to vote for anyone running against Barry.

Please don't have or spread that attitude about Ron Paul. At this point in time our country needs him more than ever as President. Yes, clearly the deck is stacked against him due to the media bias and less importantly his age. However the man has been proven more correct on so many things in past few years it amazes me he has as much modesty in public about his record. His predictions with the economy/wars have been spot on and his personal life is impeccable. There is just no good reason Ron Paul can't be our next President.

People would be like "Yay! Yay! Perry won!" Then four years later they'd be like "... well.... he sure hasn't done very much..." I don't think perry will hurt us directly, but his complacent nature and typical inaction will hurt us. Just look at his past. He passes over anything that will help texas, but may hurt his career.

It isn't his age, and it isn't a bias. The problem he has is he is anti-war. He won't get the right wing, and he won't get the left wing. He won't get the nomination.

I don't interpret his stance as anti-war. I see that he strongly opposes the notion that we should be the world's police force, but that is not anti-war.

Paul's biggest obstacle is that he is against "the political money machine". The entitlement mentality that comes with being a politician just irks him.

As such, he is a threat to the current establishment...

He is against the Iraq war, he is against the Afghanistan war - he's anti-war. I'm speaking from an current affair standpoint. I understand libertarians and their political views - I don't necessarily disagree with a lot of it. However, that is the reason he is unelectable - his foreign policy eliminates right wing support, his fiscal conservatism eliminates any left wing support. It's been the same story every time he runs.

While I do agree pans would do type same, it seems that this is a major problem with the system these days. No longer do we vote for the personal that we feel is best qualified. We vote against the person we despise. Last election I didn't see anyone I really said "hell yeah that's a president". All I saw was a ninja that I knew I didn't want in office. We just vote against people now instead of voting for people. I think Ron Paul would be one that I would vote for though instead of using the rep candidate for voting against bammy.

I dont think paul is anti war which i hear alot. I think he doesnt like being the world police since we cant really afford it however.

Instead i think he would think more about the costs of a full blown war. For example i could see him authorizing the special forces to hunt down osama and pop his ass whenever they could instead of dragging the whole country into some war like we are in.

I dont think he would just sit there and do nothing as people suggest basically.

I hated osama as much as anyone but this countries financial problems are a bigger problem. Seems we wont be able to kick the can for much longer and its going to take some major changes to straighten things out, best hope ive seen on that issue is paul

Here is Ron Paul's speech from the RLC. I especially like the part where he addresses his foreign policy. I would encourage anyone who really hasn't listened to exactly what he has to say about foreign policy to at least give it a few minutes starting at around the 9:00 mark. He has some quotes from Ronald Reagan and Robert McNamara both of which might have a vague idea what it can be like to go to war.
