The point I'm trying to get to, in a really vague way, is to educate yourself on the tax laws that pertain to your particular income levels. Get an excellent CPA that doesn't mind you coming by for a pow wow session. It helps if you take him to lunch, BTW.
Make sure you can convey the intent of your message in a more professional manner than you have done here. Try not to allow that last part to be a jab at you, as you may very well speak more intelligently in person.
What do you do, if I might ask?

Well I have ZERO debt. Everthing my ass touches is paid for, so no, I'm not about forgiving debt. Although, when the banks incorrectly lend money, then get a blank check, Joe thirtythousanare isn't all to blame. The sacrifice should have been shared, but it fell solely on the damn taxpayer. Shit's outta whack.

Is it me, or are all our problems simple to fix? Just we have to take our medicine and crack a few eggs to get it done? The list is long, but for starters...
1. Stop stimulus packages and bailing out companies that can't manage themselves. Maybe we'd be in a better spot if we'd taken our medicine 4 or so years ago instead of bailing companies out.
2. Get the hell out of Iraq and Afghanistan. I'm pro-military and supported both efforts, but enough is enough at this point.
3. Secure the borders for all the reasons beaten to death.
4. Reduce government spending, drastically. We may lose some of those special things we've become accustom to that is provided by the tax payers - but we can't continue down this path.
5. Let the consumers pay off their debt and smarten up from mistakes in the past.
6. IMO, make prison SUCK so bad that people tell horrible stories and NEVER want to go there in the first place.
7. Harshly control government assistance programs. If we do this and have people working for a living, it's a good thing. I don't think anyone wants to start at the bottom anymore, get skilled and move up from there to make better money. Just easier to get the same bottom feeder pay off the tax payer's, sit around and do crack or whatever the hell these losers do.
I know there more, and I know it won't be anything like "Yay! All fixed" and it'll suck for nearly everyone. However, what the hell other choices are there? Trying to keep everyone happy is not what is best for the country.
It's not different then a family budget and when some overspending happens. You have to tighten up. Get rid of the movie channels, cut back on ammo spending, pack your lunch instead of eating out...etc. No one really likes losing stuff, but if you just keep doing it you go bankrupt. I just don't understand I guess. I'm not educated, so it's all probably over my head...Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Do you have a very good CPA? Not a mediocre one.
Do you have any rental properties?

It's really pretty simple to circumnavigate the oppressive tax laws placed on small business owners.
When 9/11 happened, I watched a lot of my friends lose everything they had because they weren't prepared for a sudden drop in consumerism that lasted as long as it did. It nearly did us in as well. Luckily, my father was already on top of it all. He has taught me very well.
