"Hacker group" implies some sort of organization, hierarchy, and membership of which there is none. Random people come together to achieve a goal under a sort of universal identifier. Stating they are a hacker group isn't a negative nor is it a positive, hell, it's a very ambiguous depiction anyways.

So the motive you made up for them doesn't meet your approval, should oppressed peoples the world over refuse their help because of your perceptions?

1300+ civilians have been killed for demanding free speech, a 2nd political party, freedom of the press, and a right to assemble. People the world over came together, risked their freedom, and decided to help. It takes a real asshole to see that as some kind of a negative.

Someone posting outside the US started a thread that went over a hundred pages in a few hours. The poster theorized that Anon was the perfect cover for the CIA in this capacity. The nerds refused to accept that was even within the realm of possibility.

Anyone that doesn't think our intelligence community has something to do with what's going on over there was and is currently delusional. The brightest minds in the world, not just the United States, are recruited by our government constantly. Even if they don't get a paycheck from us they still might be getting meals and a room from someone that works for someone that is an informant or handler of some sort. Most of these "kids" probably don't even realize they are helping us out.
