  • Mexican soldiers detained after crossing into South Texas

DONNA, Texas (AP) — Almost three dozen uniformed Mexican soldiers are being processed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection after four Mexican military vehicles crossed the Rio Grande near McAllen.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Nina Pruneda says ICE and Customs and Border Protection agents are interviewing the soldiers after they crossed the international bridge about nine miles south of Donna. That's about 15 miles southeast of McAllen.

In a statement, Pruneda said no other details were available. News reports from the region say four Mexican army Humvees carrying 33 uniformed soldiers crossed the bridge without authorization.

    ====================

That's funny. I just got through watching "The Alamo" about 30 minutes ago.

It's apparently a fairly new bridge, they accidentally crossed into the US.

            DONNA (July 27, 2011)--Almost three-dozen uniformed Mexican
soldiers in four military vehicles crossed the Rio Grande into South Texas near McAllen without authorization.
The incident happened Tuesday afternoon on the new Donna-Rio
Bravo International Bridge over the Rio Grande, about 15 miles
            southeast of McAllen.

Federal officials are releasing little information on the incident.
However, U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman Rick Pauza said the crossing was inadvertent and that no gunfire or injuries were reported.
Pauza said "occasionally these incidents do occur" and CBP has
procedures in place for handling them.
He said the soldiers were interviewed and all were returned to Mexico.
Pauza declined to comment on what the soldiers were doing when they crossed the border, referring those inquiries to Mexican
            military officials.

How the fuck do you not know when you cross a border?

Especially a bridge over a river.....

              If I'm the driver...
"Hey, Isn't that the sign for the border?"

"Isn't that a bridge over the Rio Grande?"

"Maybe we should turn the fuck around or something....."

You are assuming they can read, know something about geography and that there were signs in a language they understand. Don't think of the Mexican Army as being close to resembling anything we have in the United States.

Their chain of command probably goes from an officer to a sergeant who is in charge of an entire platoon. Where in the US Army you'd have a platoon leader (jr officer), two or three squad leaders (NCOs) with a couple of fire teams inside of the squads (with a corporal or at least PFC in charge).

Get one retarded sgt that can't read a map in the Mexican Army and you'll have a foreign invasion. Get a retarded Sgt in the US Army and you'll have 8-12 guys thinking he's stupid while the other two squad leaders are telling him he is.

Their chain of command more closely resembles the post office than a modern fighting organization. They also force people into service so you don't exactly get the most qualified fighters.

One of many reasons. There are exceptions, they have their own special forces groups and their own version of delta operators but for the most part their army consists of groups of teenagers with rifles wandering around in circles.

                              4 humvees= 9 per humvee

They could have easily got another 20. These guys are not real Mexicans.
