  • Cain Says He Wouldn't Hesitate to Defend Israel

Would you vote for this guy?

Just intrested in some board member opinions.

ATLANTA (AP) - Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain says he wouldn't hesitate to attack Iran if it attacks Israel first.

Cain told The Washington Times that if Israel is ever attacked first by Iran, he would "make it crystal clear (that) if you mess with Israel, you're messing with the United States of America."

Cain stressed that his policy would not be a "blank check" for Israeli military action. Cain is a former CEO of Godfather's Pizza who has also hosted a radio talk show in Atlanta.

He was interviewed by the newspaper after he met Monday with Israel's ambassador to U.S., Michael Oren.

Cain's spokesperson could not immediately be reached for comment Monday night.

No kidding. As much as I hoped he would do better, Cain has been a disappointment.

Exactly, most of his comments strike me somewhere between "meh" and "wtf?!?", but occasionally he says something that makes me say, "hell yeah!". That being said, we're still in biiig trouble for 2012 unless someone focused, lucid, and balanced throws their hat in.

Muslims should not be allowed to build mosques. He lost all credibility with me when he said that bullshit. Who drops out first? Cain or Gingrich? There's no way either of them survive past Iowa.

I say let's draft Larry The Cable Guy. At least he has a pair. Can you see him in a state of the union speech with his sleeveless flannel shirt ? Gotta love him. I have heard him interviewed when he was not in his "Redneck" mode. He is not stupid. But, he would not take the cut in pay.

He didn't say that, he said communities should be allowed to decide if they want mosques built in their community, the same way communities decide if they want strip clubs and alcohol sales in their community. I agree with him.

a law like that would have to many loop holes. and would be used to take to many rights away from property owners.

Same here. Communities absolutely have the right to decide if they want a mosque.

Considering the law hasn't been wrote, I find it not possible to even say such a thing.

all they would have to do is get 50.1% of the vote of a neighborhood community. and you are dealing with a people that have no problem cramming as many muslims into their houses and apartments as possible just to win the vote.

and what happens when an area like northwest dallas decides they want to force out all the protestant churches because that area is 90% catholic?

If they do, so be it. Majority of registered voters rule.
