What? The stimulus was for his "shovel ready" jobs that were to rebuild the infrastructure (roads and transportation) of this country, then trickle down to the private sector, like "green technology" companies. It never happened. Funny how the Dems used to laugh at Reagans' "trickle down" economics, yet they thought Barry's 3/4 of a trillion dollar stimulus would do the same. Hmmm.
If our current situation of high unemployment/underemployment/stagnated wages with wall street back to pre-crash levels, high corporate profits, lots of liquidity on the balance sheets is any example, supply side economics doesn't trickle down shit to the little man.

It sure doesn't trickle down when you create an environment where business is afraid to do anything but cut costs and pile up money. Maybe Oblowhard can get on TV and talk about raising taxes on "people who make over $250K a year", that term being a euphemism for small business owners who create 70% of the jobs in this country.

What's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?

Voting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

I would say almost everyone on this board lives in the same community as someone that makes 250k. You shop at the same stores, attend the same churches, have friends in common, and your kids go to the same schools.
I'm fairly certain no one on this board moves in the same circles as someone who earns 250mil/yr.
Most people don't know what "rich" really is. Shit, lots of people (doctors) that make 250k/yr are up to their eyeballs in student loan debt. Politicians have to appeal to the idiots to keep their jobs.
Ah... the QE3 nay-sayers are finally coming around!
If there is not QE after QE, shit will destruct faster than spending into oblivian. Unfortunately, we'll end up in the same place.
Don't worry; Europe will beat us to currency melt-down, though. Hopefully, enough people here will wake the fuck up and realize what they need to do to protect their wealth.
I am interested to see what he has to say about this, I am sure he is going to use the excuse that the jobs number is the result of laying off government workers due to spending cuts. .
His famous quote " We still have a long way to go on jobs."
Dividing up the tax rates between people of different incomes does nothing more than divide a nation against each other. We should all tell these politicians to shove it up their asses, collectively.
Fuck 'em all, with their over-grown, over-spent, unconstitutional asses!
i think it is exactly what he wanted.... increase the number of people who depend on government for income and they will defiantly vote him back in. why would they want to give up free money? socialism is taken over
Ding, that's the plan.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
I just read an article on Yahoo about this and the writer was saying that the unemployment wouldn't have any effect on Obamas chance at re-election. I swear that site will hand a pen to any monkey with an opinion.
Hell, Obama's advisor, David Ploufe said the same thing. Obama supporters just dont care about reality.
when the housing market turns the unemployment rate will come down quite a bit. in time i think it will but it wont be this year. jobs jobs jobs anything that creates them is something every American should support

I could not have said this any better. This is why I am a huge fan of the Fair Tax plan, it makes everyone a tax payer, and would eliminate most of the IRS.
I'm confident that they will when they're starving to death.
I read in a Yahoo blog this morning that:
Close to $2 of every $10 that went into Americans’ wallets last year were payments like jobless benefits, food stamps, Social Security and disability, according to an analysis by Moody’s Analytics. In states hit hard by the downturn, like Arizona, Florida, Michigan and Ohio, residents derived even more of their income from the government.
Pathetic....the socialist dreams of obammy and his brethren are well on their way to reality.
Yeah but too bad his socialist dreams can't even make it out of their infancy without economic collapse. I think that may be what's actually protecting us from them right now.
