The thing that strikes me as odd, they whine about businesses moving overseas. Gee, wonder why?

If you had a big company and could:
    1) cut your labor costs by 75%
    2) make an end-run past the unions
    3) not have any health or benefits packages to fund
    4) cut your taxes in half
    5) avoid regulatory hell

It kind of amazes me that any business stays in this country.

Why is it that the union crybabies who think they should make six figures for doing the work of a monkey are the ones who cry about jobs leaving the most? You'd think they could draw up a flowchart and figure out why companies send shit overseas. Instead you get a bunch of protectionism and entitlement talk.

What? The stimulus was for his "shovel ready" jobs that were to rebuild the infrastructure (roads and transportation) of this country, then trickle down to the private sector, like "green technology" companies. It never happened. Funny how the Dems used to laugh at Reagans' "trickle down" economics, yet they thought Barry's 3/4 of a trillion dollar stimulus would do the same. Hmmm.

lmao, that's a plan that would actually work!

I just read an article on Yahoo about this and the writer was saying that the unemployment wouldn't have any effect on Obamas chance at re-election. I swear that site will hand a pen to any monkey with an opinion.

As Nancy Pelosi or Barney Frank would say, this is all Bush's fault.

Yes as that one article said, George Bush will continue ruling, someday even from the grave. I need a link to that article. Anyone got it?

I think in reality its well over 20% I am actually trying to hire someone right now, low skill position, part time at $9/hr. but I have been surprised by the massive number of resumes I have received, and a lot of these people have college degrees too.

Wait until all the college grads start hitting the streets and their numbers start showing up...Lots of education majors coming out to no teaching jobs.

...they'll just print more money to pay them, causing more inflation. there should be a pic of bernanke leaning against a printing press with a cigar in his mouth and a glass of scotch in his hand, on every piece of us currency. lol

Lots of gov't spending spins off to the private sector.

For example I've got a buddy whose family biz machines shit for the defense industry and these wars have been great for them. Best years ever in the history of their 3 generation family run business.

The gov't spends too much and employs too many, the economy is slow, unemployment is high, interest rates are low, and deficits are high.

Whether you cut spending or raise taxes it seems like you're going to hurt the sluggish economy, unemployment, etc.

Seems like we're fucked no matter what.
