Does the constitution still matter?

There is nothing wrong with the Constitution. There is something wrong with the accountability of the people who are in office who can ignore it with impunity. The Constitution was written when the population was small, and things could be sent to the Supreme Court relatively quickly to get resolved. The country has become so big and litigious, that the checks and balances system is out of alignment. Fix that, you fix the problem. That, and eliminate Lobbyists.
