What the hell is wrong with the NLRB?

You say all that like Boeing owes the union members that extra $4 a month or they owe people in those towns anything at all. Fact is, they don't. No matter what your Marxist union leaders tell you, Boeing doesn't owe anyone anything. And if the workers don't like it then they are free to find another job. If people in those towns don't like it, they can move. It is called freedom. Just like Boeing is free to ship jobs overseas if they feel like it. Evidently they can't give people in South Carolina jobs though, that is "against the law".

As for your earlier point about members of the NRLB being approved by the Senate, how long has that particular body been in the hands of the Democrats, can you tell us?

Id say about 6 years, but that really doesn't mean much. As it is the senate is holding up two appointments to the NLRB right now along with funding.

I never said Boeing owed the workers anything and it's all about Negotiations. The problem is Boeing would cut off their nose despite their face. When a company is willing to do that alot of innocent people will get hurt financially, but it's always the union's fault. Captialism isn't a justification to screw everyone your in business with. Captialism only works when there is a bit of moral obligation involved to were both parties doing business feel good about the deal.

When the liberals start pissing and moaning about companies packing up and moving overseas, they won't remember this at all. The unions and their paid politicians won't stop until they kill what's left of our economy.

There was a time and place for unions, it has come and gone.

In my limited current experience with unions and their entitlements, they do more harm than good. If you can't take the heat, get out of the job and let one of the millions of unemployed Americans graciously take your spot.

Your story just illustrates the fact that Boeing wasn't stupid enough to commit to a defined benefit pension plan in 2005. Looking at what has happened in the six years since that time it appears that they were pretty smart in trying not to do that.

Boeing, like any company with competent management, wants to shift away from a defined benefit plan as much as possible. As I said, they were attempting to make a smart call given what has happened since.

Union and company negotiations are covered by law. And if the union doesn't get what it wants, it cries to government, which is exactly what this case is about. The NLRB is going to have to prove what Boeings intent is with opening the plant in South Carolina. As any moron knows, proving intent is a sketchy proposition at best. But that won't stop the NLRB from attempting to cater to Karl Marx.
