Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I caught this film last night, I have read a few books and articles on the topic, I thought the movie went real easy on the people involved (perhaps cause some of them were financing the movie). the filmed seemed to go easy on Paulson and Geithner, made it seem as if they did not know what was going on, and they were always a few steps behind what was really going on... but some how managed to put this deal together at the very end. I think paulson knew what he was doing and what was going to happen from the get go, with the banks behind him he waited for the right moment when America would be vulnerable, and he held the American tax payers hostage until he got what they wanted, a blank check with no strings attached.

one thing I thought they got right was that the politicians in both parties had no idea what was going on.

I saw the movie on HBO last week. It was pretty anti-climactic but mildly entertaining at least.
