But you're doing nothing to explain your enlightened positions. You make quips but fail to back them with any concrete evidence of you being correct.

See post 23. He's playing from the sheet music perfectly.

Correct. They have no answers, other than just throwing money at problems. Try and name one social "problem" that they have "cured". Whether it's education, unemployment, health care, or whatever else it may be, they just raise taxes and dump more money into it. In 1976, Carter creates the Department of Education, and what happens? The level of education across our country starts falling. Hell, it hasn't come back since! Carter also had the Community Reinvestment act of 1977, which started the governments' backing of bad/high risk FHA loans. Look where that's gotten us. Barry is doing the same thing with his healthcare horseshit. By the time it bankrupts the country, his sorry ass will be chillin' on a plantation in Nigeria.

Do you blame him? Last time he posted anything of substance, it turned out to be absurd half truths about Newt Gingrich.

Well, when you rely on the Huffington Post and MSNBC for "news", that explains it. lol.

Yes. I grew up with the same bullshit ideals (contrary to my parents' conservative beliefs) because of all the rainbows and sunshine pumped up your ass. It also didn't hurt that I was the minority at my school. I was all gung-ho that "you don't care about others if you're a republican," etc. because that's the environment down there and I truly do care for others. I had these ideals until I started making my own money at 18, and seeing all those tax dollars taken out of my check, and then looking around to see who they're going to in SE Austin instead of my bank account.

FW has absolutely nothing on Austin when it comes to standing in line at the grocery store behind someone who buys all their milk and stuff on their WIC/Lonestar/whatever card and then does a cash transaction for their carton of cigarettes and 2 cases of beer, then as you leave they're packing it into the trunk of a new Lexus/BMW/Mercedes parked in the handicapped spot. That was a weekly "sight" for me down there and is the best way to relate the attitude, abuse of the system, and sense of entitlement of the people down there. There are so many things I love about that town, but I go back a few times a month to see my family and that shit makes me sick.

Trust me, I work all over the city and frequent the grocery stores everywhere from E. Berry, to Hemphill, to N. Beach, to Sycamore School road. It happens in this city, too, but not nearly to the extent as Austin.

Cause he can't. He just pops by and drops in his silly little one liners and then you don't see him again till next thread.

Just saw this... didn't California take the most Federal funding? States don't get bailed out, they get Federal funding.

I love when liberals try to throw the "You just don't understand how great socialism is!" line. I'm in New Zealand and have gotten into discussions with flag waving socialists here and they, like in the States, are constantly saying "If we just tax the rich more.." When I ask "Then what?" I get blank stares.

It's all about the rebellion, but as Barry proved, when you rebel and win, you're "the man" that must be fought against. Fuck socialism

LOL! After 10 years, I hope it takes more than that to get me banned. Besides, I know better.
