And I hope you do know that our debt is gauged differently nowadays. We're actually way over the GDP if we were going by true numbers like back then. It's kinda like how we gauge inflation, unemployment, banking losses, etc... it's all just a farce to make it look "not so bad." Also, this has to be the worst time ever for the rest of the world to trust the integrity of the American financial system. Why should that be factored? Because we need someone other than the FED buying our debt!

I am not talking about winning hearts and minds. I am talking about telling folks what is what from behind a gun.

When I say national debt I am talking about the nearly 15 trillion in outstanding bonds that are held by creditors. If you count our unfunded obligations as part of out debt then we are 72 trillion in the hole on top of the 15 trillion. That is why we ditch the entitlements ASAP.

We also need to end the Fed and burn the people who complain about it at the stake.

Like a totalitarian dictatorship? Name one entitlement that has been scrapped. The people that use them are convinced they cannot live without handouts, thus, they don't want them to go away. Politicians know this and they also know that longterm we can't afford everything, which is why you are seeing rights usurped so that when that final straw falls and the back begins to break any resistance was pre-squelched.

          .
I am sure that there are people on the site in debt up to their eyes and can only make the minimum payment on their debt. Will they admit it? No, they probably don't even see a problem with living paycheck to paycheck, until Murphy moves in their them.

Not like a totalitarian dictatorship at all. I will not be pointing a gun at them and telling them to do something that goes against natural law. I will be pointing it at them and telling them that they and their minions will not be allowed to steal the fruit of my labor anymore.

We don't have to repeal an entitlement for it to collapses under its own weight; it will happen soon just by letting it run its own course. Repealing one will just be fun.
