If there's a baptist and a pentacostal church across the street from eachother, which one is praising and worshipping the almighty god the right way?
You are not listening. It has been said and said again. I think you're just being argumentive at this point, maybe the whole time.

The only knowledge I have on what you are calling the rapture is that the Saints will be spared the tribulations preceeding the Second Coming. What constitutes a saint today may be open to interpretation among some Christians, but the Bible reveals some individuals who were most definitely saints.

A Baptist and Pentacostal church may each praise and worship God according to their own unique traditions and still both be considered to be doing so "the right way" as long as each ultimately bases their mission and message on the Bible.

At some point, yes. BUT, no one knows when and to say such is complete BS. Westboro is an incendiary group that purports they are Christians to draw more attention to themselves. I'm also not a big fan of organized churchs. I think they all take something that is pure and screw it up. Clearly, I deviate from a lot of other Christians on that idea, but it is what I've witnessed.

It never says the saints will be spared the Tribulation. In fact, it specifically says when it will be during the Tribulation:

1 Corinthians 15:51-52- Behold, I tell you a MYSTERY; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

I'm pretty sure many Christians that are banking on a pre-tribulation rapture will get a big surprise to witness the first six trumpets. Since it is the dead that rise first.

That has always been my understanding as well. Christians will have to slog through Hell on Earth for a period before the big bailout in the sky takes place.

Ya, the only guarantee I've seen is getting out by Final Judgement.

I had understood that saints referred to those martyred because of their professed belief in God, and that these individuals would "rest" on the sidelines during the tribulation while final judgement was meted out to those who tortured, persecuted, or killed them.

Of course it's written, that doesn't really prove anything...

OK, great. Who said anything about proof? I'm glad to see all the participation on the subject, but please make some sense when you jump in. That post was answering the OP's question. He didn't ask to prove something.

Could the "Hell on Earth" period just be life on earth? Could the 2nd coming of Christ be individual for each person ( ie when you die and perish from this earth)? When they say the dead wil rise first... have their souls already risen when they have passed.

This is something I have always struggled with but never really asked because it is always shot down. There is a lot of symbolism in the bible... so could the all of the earthquakes and such in revelations be symbols of just hard times when you are dieing?

Are dinosaur bones used to cloud the truth that the world is only 6000 years old?

Let me get this straight. You actually believe that the sky is going to open up and your gonna go to heaven and live out your fairy tale world? What makes you different from Camping? people have been doing just as you and him for 2000 years and guess what. They have been WRONG. Instead of just studying the bible to conveniently work out your worlds gonna end theory. How about studying controversial evidence like how Jesus was a plagiarized version of the Egyptian god Horus. I guess one book is easier to read than a bunch of hard ones. It boggles my mind how otherwise intelligent people can believe the bible and defend it to the death.

Prove that going to heaven is fake, dick. Please prove it.

Like what was stated over and over and over again... our BELIEFS are faith-based, which do not require proof. There are non-believers that seem to use every bit of effort to demean these beliefs because of its lack of proof. Every time I switch it around and ask for proof that it isn't true, I never get a response. So that is telling me that they don't believe based on their BELIEFS, in the absence of proof that none of what the Bible says is true.

Now that we have established that both sides take their sides based on their BELIEFS, the only ones that don't have a problem defending their faith seem to be the ones who believe in God.

Cause once you make a statement like that. It pretty much ends the conversation. At that point it's known that no amount of proof, logic or anything will get you to keep from performing mental gymnastics in order to maintain your beliefs. Even to the point of going to illogical fallacies such as you cant prove it does not so therefore it does.

Exactly why both of our reasons are nothing more than beliefs. So why are you dogging people that have a different belief and holding their belief to a different standard by asking for proof when, in fact, you don't require proof for you not to believe what I believe?

                                See the hypocracy there, bro?
