  • Soooooooooo.....no rapture...again.

How many times do christians plan on foreseeing the rapture before they admit that they're wrong? Most christians are gonna say "Well he's crazy and not a real christian." He seems pretty devout in his beliefs. What makes a real Christian, and how do you seperate yourselfs from false prophets who claim to be Christian?

For starters, you read the Bible for yourself.

I really wish people would just figure it out. It's not that hard.

ANYTHING outside the Word of God is just bullshit to cloud the Truth and deviate us from His Plan.

Unfortunately, it'll probably happen more and more AS IT IS WRITTEN.

That's what got me away from Christianity. I guess I would suggest more christians should read the bible.

The word "Christian" is very broad, the doomsday people may be very devout in their beliefs but they are only speaking for their own followers. Camping is a member of the Christian Reformed church, which is Calivinistic and Protestant. By his own beliefs in predestination it doesn't matter how you live your life, before you are even conceived it's already been decided if you'll be saved or not.

Unless the pope himself or some other representative of the Vatican says the rapture is coming then I'm not going to worry too much about it.

Are you suggesting that all Christians truly believed this to be the rapture? That makes your claim almost as insane as Camping's.

Anyone who has read the bible- Christian or not- should know that not even the Angels know of the end.

To take the word "Christian" to its root means to be a believer in Christ. To believe that Christ died for your sins and that believing in Him will bring you eternal salavation.

So yes, there is a chance they are Christians, however; they have misinterpreted the bible and became false phrophets.

So if anything... had the rapture happened and man knew about it.. it would have given y'all something to say the bible is false.

Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church members are pretty devout in their beliefs, and their God Hates Fags rhetoric. That doesn't make them right. David Koresh was pretty devout in his beliefs. This could go on all day. As someone else mentioned, there are nuts on BOTH sides of the fence.

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

I'm agnostic, and it seems pretty simple to me. Don't try so hard to discredit Christians, that you're ignoring common sense.

Christian means to be 'Christ Like' or 'Follower of Christ'.

As a christian, do you believe that the rapture will one day come? If so, did you not think that maybe this guy could be right, just a little bit? If this guy is not right, and westboro baptist is not right, what is right? If there's a baptist and a pentacostal church across the street from eachother, which one is praising and worshipping the almighty god the right way?

Take christianity to it's basics. Jesus Christ walked the earth, he was a real person of flesh. He preached and had followers, he was crucified. Any teachings from someone other than Jesus himself or from an apostle is going to be subject to someone else's interpretation.
