You know, I've studied up on Karl Marx a little bit and oddly enough, he wasn't a "Marxist". He seemed to actually pretty strongly dislike what people were calling "marxism". But just like anything else, you got one guy who may be fairly bright coming up with a rough idea that probly needs a lot of polish and real world testing before anyone could ever call it a "good idea". But then the fools march in, and take it over. They put their little spin on it so that it now only bears a fair resemblance to what the original guy was trying to come up with. If you look at his work, marx wasn't really a communist, but of course he didn't iron out how to go about achieving his goals without communism. He was just the first of many so his ideas were of course still very rough. Even he admitted that. So naturally the far less intelligent dirty apes like those teachers just see something that looks a little shiny and they grab it and run with it.

If you look at how the left always gets their start in any scenario, its that some rich shitheads really are fucking the people over in some way. Or at least, are not sensitive to the plight of the lower class. What the lefties are too dumb to figure out is, its actually evil that they are wanting to wage war against, and not money or capitalism. That small percentage of evil selfish rich people give all other rich people a bad name of course. And since in any society the rich are a big minority, its easy to just lump them all into one group. What gets me is that the left has already killed the middle class, at least in their own minds. Because to them there are only rich, and poor. There is no middle class.

I can't understand why people think socialism/communism/Marxism work. It's failing or has failed in every country that follows it.

Economic growth from nothing = fail

Forced movement of wealth from the ones that earned it to non-contributors of society = fail

Dictated tasks for everyone in order to better the nation = fail

Government controlling economies and/or businesses = fail

Social programs = fail

Allowing people to produce and support their own, allowing free giving to needy, government that only enforces laws to protect people's unalienable rights already dictated = win

Did you read the Communist Manifesto itself, or summaries from internet sources? Because the ideas he put forth are pretty insidious. He flat out says to the bourgeoisie (the rich):

You are horrified at our intending to do away with private property. But in your existing society, private property is already done away with for nine-tenths of the population; its existence for the few is solely due to its non-existence in the hands of those nine-tenths. You reproach us, therefore, with intending to do away with a form of property, the necessary condition for whose existence is the non-existence of any property for the immense majority of society.

In one word, you reproach us with intending to do away with your property. Precisely so; that is just what we intend.

You understand that when Marx said that he was not a Marxist, he was rebuking those that were perverting his message for their own purposes. Then, as now, communism is attractive to the have-nots, but they never think far enough ahead to decide who should safeguard against the consolidation of property. The irony is that communists oppose consolidation of property amongst a few by way of capitalism, and yet desire consolidation of property within a single entity, "the people". Despotism rises under the banner of communist revolution because what entity comprises "the people", if not the people themselves?

Marx saw this when others could not. A testament to his intelligence. But make no mistake about Marx, he was as revolutionary and his ideas as dangerous as any communist ever was.

The Communists disdain to conceal their views and aims. They openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions. Let the ruling classes tremble at a Communistic revolution. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win.

It was taught to me in college. Before you say it yes I know that colleges are biased as is sociology. But there are a few facts about him that most don't know. The ones who could benefit the most from those facts are the monkeys that would follow him.
