They may be idiots, but it doesn't mean we need to resort to neo-McCarthyism.

What middle class? Don't you know? Those are all rich people! Filthy stinking rich people! Evil people who enslave the poor and laugh at their demise! They should all be taxed so much that we can give their money to those who are much more deserving, which would be the poor! But then we'll also have the super rich, which are actually people we like that are good people cause we know them. They deserve to be rich because they have the best interest of the poor in mind.

Tax the Rich....and of course by "the rich" I mean anyone who can hold down a job. We have to support these coffee house faggots who think the world owes them something.

What would be your suggestion for the poor? Just curious. If we eliminated all the social programs, how do you handle those people? I always see this argument, but you still then have to figure out how to deal with people on the streets starving or getting desperate and stealing anything they can.

I am by no means agreeing with communism. I just want to know the solution to handling all the poor people that would be seperated from the government tit if we cut all the social programs.

I never said we cut all social programs. There are segments of our society that need to be taken care of, I say that all the time. As the best developed nation in the world, we can afford to take care of the old, the disabled and children. There is no reason for people to be eating out of trash cans in this country. But a lot of that help should come from charity, it shouldn't be stolen with a ballot.

Do the research and you will see that most of these "social programs" end up indirectly or directly supporting groups that should be helping themselves. Whether it is doctors and dentists that benefit from government payments or the guy who lies to medicaid and gets a free hoveround. Most lefties will tell you that "we can't live without these social programs" but the facts are that we lived for 150 years as a country, without them. Sure, poor people had to struggle, well guess what....they are supposed to struggle, that is what makes this country work. One man's struggle is another man's incentive.

I have said it a hundred times on here, I have absolutely no sympathy for an able bodied adult who "just can't catch a break". Fucking scumbags.

That is pretty much how I feel about things. The problem I see is those "able bodied" folks would go ape shit when their monthly checks disappear. The crime in the entire country would rise, and our jail system would be even more overwhelmed. There would be whole parts of cities in complete chaos from people looting. The police would be overwhelmed and shit would get real.

I think after a few of them got their heads blown off they might have a change of attitude. At least around here anyway. I wouldn't want to live in Chicago if you forced everyone off the gubment teet.

Ok, now after the dust is settled, you still have thousands upon thousands of people needing a source of income, and more than likely the jobs won't be there.

                    Then what?

They would need to start taking jobs that they now conceder below them. When they don't get a check from the government the pain in there belly will motivate them to get a job.

You really think there are enough job openings out there to employ ALL of the unemployed people right now?

It needs to be done over 3-5 years. The start is huge fines for employing illegal immigrants. Then enforce them.

Just as with any change, its all very simple to actually do. But getting people to agree that they actually have to get up and go to work when they are nothing but lazy asses is the hard part. And that makes it very difficult to implement the change.

If we can manage to dump the illegals, absolutely. The problem is the "I'm better than that" attitude. I mean, why work the fry line at Mickey D's, when they can sit on their fat ass, do nothing, and let the Govt pay them to do so?

Yes I do. And if not, there soon will be when businesses realize they can hire skilled people for almost nothing.
