Uh, genital mutilation is barbaric. Obviously you wouldn't want to do that. Not to mention, why don't we just cut off people's hands that steal? And tongues that lie? Hell cut off the head of someone who comes up with a bad idea. Cruel and unusual punishment is against the law for a damn good reason.

Just have him slave away working to make some product to pay for his debt to society. You know he's going to be raped in prison anyway, so he'll get to know the feeling first hand.

This kind of shit is why we have such a high crime rate, they are not scared of the punishment they will get. Look at china where they execute people for all kinds of shit their crime rate is next to nothing. Cutting their dick off first offense no, but don't segregate them from gen pop when they hit the yard. Second offense lop off their cock and send them to the yard again.

It sucks but it happens, however pedo's and serial rapists should just have it removed.
Good points, that's for sure. Bad enough to end up in prison over an emo chick.

This is my concern too. Now there is a profit motive to incarcerate you..

China also throws people in jail for speaking out against the government. Sounds great!

Fact is, our crime rates aren't high. But people commit crimes because they think they will never get caught.

HAHA you must of missed my other post about corporal punishment in school up to about 21 then you start removing fingernails, fingers, hands, public hangings. I am all for it if it is proven without a doubt you did the crime. The system is sad now days and they just let people out with a slap on the wrist to go do what ever they did over and over again.

Yeah that is kinda harsh and BS but that is not the same thing as raping and pillaging.

I have never studied how Japan does it but what ever they are doing apparently works.

Japan has low crime due to their society. They are taught that respect for your elders is of the utmost importance, and that anything you do shames your family, which is a huge fucking deal. In Japan, it's all about how they raise their kids to be respectable citizens. It's like that in Korea, too. It has nothing to do with punishments or the fear of them.

Of course to do that in America you would have to get parents involved in actually raising their kids instead of letting the state do it, so good luck with that.
I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

Sex with an Asian woman is great, but 30 minutes later you're horny again.

The articles I have read on that recently all point to a common culture that creates and maintains that mindset. We no longer have that here in the good ole melting pot USA. We are more of a chunky stew now, I guess.

Sorry but I believe in the United states constitution. You're not any different from those rapists and child molestors if you sink to their level. You forget: criminal punishment is not about revenge. I agree that the system is sad. But there are more than enough other ways to make people not want to go back to prison, that don't involve barbaric practices of mutilation. Humiliation has been proven to be far more effective even than incarceration. Forcing long days of hard labor is another. So incarcerate them, humiliate them, make them work very hard (this has multiple benefits). Given the type of person that winds up in prison, they won't be back.

I would be fine with that also. All I am sure of is something needs to change. Oh and I am a lot different then people who rape and murder, your comparison is sad in trying to make a point. Most of the people like you that share your views on harder punishment have never been the victim of a actual crime and live in a bubble.

I'm not going to get into the whole story, but the charges they brought against me were completely false (though I'm sure they thought they were true) and there was no way for me to prove my innocence. An uncommon situation, but it still happens.

Yeah its traumatizing but we can't kill someone every time somebody gets traumatized. If that's the case then the director of "Fire in the sky" needs to be executed because he traumatized my neighbor's kid with his alien movie.

No shit, what a skewed point of view. Punish them and they won't do it again. Our penal system does nothing to rehabilitate. Just teaches a criminal a new set of tricks

No, you're not. Not if you sink to their level. By your standards, why even have a penal system at all? Why do we even have prison? Fuck it, we don't need courts, judges, juries, and on and on. Screw it just barbarically take whatever revenge we feel like so we can be just like the talking monkeys over there in muslim land. What you're suggesting is completely barbaric, and completely unnecessary. You can eliminate most repeat offenders with only minor changes to the penal system. And no, I have not been the victim of a violent crime but if I was, the reaction would be the nearly instant death of either me, or the offender which also bypasses your vengful little wish list.
