Cool, I just moved out to Ft Worth. I have been to Magnolia and it is my favorite burger place right now. We hang out around the Montgomery Plaza all the time. Will have to try it.2012 Mustang GT

Hell yes, when I was a kid the old car club my dad was in met at the Shakey's here every month. Damn good pizza and the owner would pay us in tokens to clean the ball pit balls out from under the skeet ball machinesOriginally posted by 1carcrazyguy View Post

The potatoes were were better than the pizza, and the pizza was great! The funny part is, Shakey's left the Texas area in probably the late 70's to maybe mid 80's depending on where you lived. Yet most people still remember that it was good food!Originally posted by GrayStangGT View PostI could have swore the potato things were called Rojo's not Mojo's
If I could bring back these two I would be happy
1) Shakey's
2) Taco flavored Doritos

Total bullshit.
I've been wanting to try In-N-Out since they moved to Texas.
Today is the day.
I take my hamburgers with only mayo and bacon. Don't judge me.
I anxiously approach the counter and order a "number three with only Mayo and bacon".
"Sir, I'm sorry but we don't have bacon. Or mayonnaise. We have a spread similar to thousand island dressing"
Wut. I was polite about it, and walked out in front of a 15 person deep line.
I simply drove across the parking lot and went to Kincaids, a Fort Worth tradition. Where the sign is hand painted (a dying art), they have bacon, they have mayonnaise, and they embrace Fort Worth.
I enjoyed my burger, got an apple flavored piece of gum just like I did 20 years ago, and rolled out like a boss.
I feel guilty for trying to go to that commie ass burger joint.
California, you can keep your hamburgers.
Give me whataburger and Kincaids for life.DE OPPRESSO LIBER
