I made some smoked tenderloin for christmas dinner and it was the easiest meat I have ever smoked. It came out excellent even for an almost 6lb choice grade cut.
The brisket was for backup in case I messed up the tenderloin (I had never smoked a loin and didnt realize how easy it was).
This is by far the cheapest way to feed 10-12 people filet mignon.
