Beef Jerky

So WTH does a jerky gun do/make? Is it like a softer version of steak that is cut thin? I just can't picture using hamburger meat to make jerky, seems like it would just fall apart easily???

Yeah typically makes more something resembling a beef stick really. Usually does not taste bad, is a good start and is cheap.
