Carolina Reaper - the hottest pepper

I'd like to try a ghost pepper one time, but never got around to it so far. Ghost pepper sauces...etc, but not a straight pepper in something or otherwise straight.

Habaneros are beyond my limits (use sparingly) so I know a ghost pepper is going to mess my day up, but still want to try it to see if I can even taste anything besides pain. I'll have sugar, milk/ice cream and baby wipes around for the following 24 hours.

I'd not see the point of anything hotter than ghost though....I'd imagine you don't taste a single thing.

I cook with habaneros and ghost peppers with some regularity, you can get both at Whole Foods.

There's some good ghost pepper beef jerky at the smokehouse joint on I-2, going to Marshall. I can't remember the name, but it's a Shell ststion with a Sonic and a BBQ joint. The brisket isn't too bad either. The have a bunch of fried pie signs, etc.
