Shrimp n grits

Passed down from Indians (feathers not dots), and they're delicious if done right. They also vary from region to region, and I have yet to have grits I didn't like unless they were plain. Even then, butter helps and/or you can put some brown sugar on them.

I dig a little butter and some maple syrup. Ive had bad grits though.

I can't wrap my head around adding sugar or syrup to grits, only butter and pepper. Sugar and shrimp, wut?

Grits are awesome base for various things. If left over taco meat or something, can makes some instant grits (I know) and throw it in there with it, add some jalapenos and cheese ----good stuff.

Sugar and grits are the only way I've tried them and I like it. An old friend used to talk about cheesy grits but I never tried them.
