Just saw this thread. I ate there for lunch last week, but did not get a deep dish pie. Ordered a "thin crust" artichoke pizza (split it with a vegetarian friend), but what they call thin crust is pretty much a regular crust at other places. I will say however, it was good! Nice crispness, not burnt, cheese was good too.

A deep dish takes about 45-60 minutes, so plan on a LONG lunch, or call ahead and see if they will start it for you.

I'd eat there again, but it's not like I crave it and can't wait to go back. 7/10 is my rating.

Had the artichoke/spinach dip appetizer. Bread seemed stale, the dip itself was good tho. On par with any other place, nothing spectacular, but I've had bad dip and this was not bad.

Gino's is still Gino's out of Chicago. ATX is just a franchisee for TX.

Nope, they were probably a little over half full. Walked in and sat right down, appetizer and drinks fairly quick, just the pie was slower than we thought. This was right around the lunch rush too, maybe 12:30 when we walked in.

I trust your judgement on food, so I'm going to give it a try tomorrow. My little sister is graduating from UTA nursing school, so I'll be in the area...

I haven't been yet so no "actual" pictures. But I got this from the Morning News website article that I read a couple of weeks ago. Seems like Chicago Street Pizza in Plano was a little "deeper" than this picture but it's hard to tell. Definitely thicker than the one I had from Classic Chicago Gourmet Pizza in Las Colinas. I just remembered the one from Chicago Street Pizza being surprisingly heavy when I picked up the box.

That slice looks like a run over Spuds Mackenzie.

This is what happens when the pie is to hot to slice and he just mangled it out of the pan anyways.

                                Looks good though.
