I have gone to the Wine Sellers store there and figured out a pretty cool deal, assuming you like wine. To ship wine into Texas it has to go through a local distributor and if for whatever reason it can't be delivered to the end user it goes back to said distributor and they can do whatever they want with it. The store in Salado handles pretty much all of that business for the CenTex region so that little winery gets hundreds of cases of wine for free every year and they sell them cheap. If you buy 10 bottles it's $8 each for anything they have.
I'm not a wine scholar by any means but all of the bottles I've picked up there retail for at least $20 and one was over $40.
