Yeah I am not the expert, but I am improving a lot over the years. Shit half from reading you guys on here. I just noticed that even when I cook a little longer then usual (drinking, swimming, sex, whatever), that the meat is still really moist. I smoked a ham last night and I will report back in a bit on the comparison to my old wood smoker and pecan. I just put some chips in a box in it. It appeared to be working well last night.

    (update)
Flavor was spot on as my old wood fire. I even forgot about it and probably left it on a little long but it was still juicy. I was watching a good movie dammit. Now my electric smoker I had was fantastic, but it just never seemed to get as much smoke flavor in the meat as I wanted.

I haven't had any personal experience with any of them but I've read and seen a bunch of videos on them and I'm wanting to try one out. Never really spent much time cooking with charcoal as gas has always been more convenient for me. But I'm sold on the concept. Probably be later in the summer when I buy one.
Also try Oscar at carpet outlets in Red Oak. He beat everyone around on price at the time. He only carries them because his family loves them and made him get into them.

Carpet Outlets of Texas is your top flooring store in Dallas, TX. We sell and install major brand carpet, hardwood, tile, and laminate flooring in Dallas-Fort Worth.

I have a large with every accessory under the sun and it was close to that. You have to look at the fact they last like 30 years and have a lifetime warranty I think. How many propane grills are you going to buy in the next 30 years. I average a decent one every 3-5 at about 300-500 a pop.

They are worth the money if you really enjoy grilling. Only maintenance I do is pull my handle off once every year or 2 and put a coat of minwax on it and it is good to go again. If I had a larger patio to keep out of the weather I wouldn't even need to do that.

After having read about these grills for a while now, I'm really leaning towards the Vision Kamado Grill because of the temperature control and the "ash tray".
