  • Not really food, but ? on some knives from Costco

Anyone ever used these ceramic knives made by KitchenAid? They seem sharp, just by cutting the cardboard they came in, but have not used them yet. Only $29.99, and Costco takes everything back if they do end up sucking. I think there were 4 in the set. Weird having a knife with a white blade, LOL.

Well, crappy pic, but you get the idea...

I wouldn't use them on anything but fruits and vegetables based on reviews.

LOL, I was just gonna post and say for fruit and veggies, they do a good job.
Probably not good for meat, but I do have some good steak knives I use for pretty much everything anyways. I'll keep them for the fruits and veggies tho.

That type of knife is not flexible and will break pretty quickly. Pretty tough to sharpen if you should use them long enough to hurt the edge.
          Some cars and a bike...

Some say... they have been raced, some a lot

You can slice just about anything with them and they keep an edge basically forever but if you try to chop they'll chip. As noted they are great for fruits and vegetables and I've also cut up sausage and cooked chicken (boneless) but I usually go for steel for anything else.
