Every place will be expensive right now.
I like Nates, Mangos, Cajun Corner, Boiling Crab, and love Tasty Tails.

Love Papadeauxs food, not a big fan of their crawfish. They do have good deals with Oysters though.

    Not sure if serious.

Was at Bayou Jacks a couple weeks ago. Wife had a house salad ( doesn't do anything that swims) and I had a couple beers and two pounds of bugs with sausage and corn added. Bill was round $40 give or take. IIRC $14 a pound.

I liked them. Gonna take my son this weekend. Buddy said his was over cooked but he's from Chicago so go figure.

        $14 a pound? WTF?!

Prices seem high this year, but dayum! Flying fish had some decent sized ones, spiced well - $9/lb iirc

Due to the cold weather they have had, it's been slim pickings so far this year. I am doing a boil in April so hopefully the prices will come down and size will increase by then. As it stands now the distributors are getting them at $4.50 a pound if they can get them. Most restaurants are getting Field grade crawfish instead of the Select Grade ones normally get around this year.Once it warms up it should return to normal.

This place might be a little drive from Denton, but I think it would be worth it. They offer crawfish seasonally, and it's a little early in the year, so I'd give them a call and see if they have any.

My friend Darren manages that place.
Love eating there whenever I am out that way!
