I love TDB, but that's not that great of a deal for someone like me who would just go with my gf every time. It comes to $27.50 per meal and that's only if we manage to go once a month, every single month, for the next 6 months, and every time has to be Sun-Thurs, and no holidays. If you're gonna somehow get a large group to go during those days, it's a good deal, but otherwise, it's a dummy tax for those who haven't thought it through.

The last time I bought one of those cards we used 11 out the 12, close enough for me.

          Usually $50 per meal, right?

$45. I've been a ton of times, but not once Sun-Thurs, except one Easter Sunday a few years back, and that wouldn't qualify for the discount, either.

I'm sorry it's not that good of a deal for you.
The prices are $22.99 for lunch, $44.99 for brunch, and $44.99 for dinner(plus tax).
I'll break dinner pricing out for you, since this is when I go(Sunday nights are usually the best nights to go)...

$65 for the card including shipping
$22.50 in savings per visit, per person

Usually I end up paying for 2 meals per visit because of a date being with me.
For me...the card would more than pay for itself on my 2nd visit($90 savings).

For someone that is only paying for theirself, the card would pay for itself by their 3rd visit and they would still have 9 more visits to just use or just throw away. Either way, they still would come out ahead in the long run.

As you were saying though...there is less savings in lunch due to the price difference.

That's not what I was saying at all.

The card is ONLY good for dinners. You can't use it for brunch or lunch. You can't use it on a Friday or a Saturday. You can't use it on any holiday. And you only have 6 months to use it. If they would just open up one of the weekend nights (Fri or Sat), I'd be all over it. I could see myself going twice, maybe even three times in a 6 month period, if that were the case.

They used to send 50% off coupons for birthdays and anniversaries, and for certain holidays (like Easter), if you signed up for their email club or whatever. Lately, all they send is coupons for free dessert, or the like. It's still one of my favorite places to eat, but it's too much hassle for me to try to get there on a weeknight.

Like I said, for you it might not mean much, but I personally make FOOD a priority and I never eat there for lunch...I have a job that requires me to be awake after 20+ filet mignons, lol.

So for me, this saves quite a bit of $$$ and could for others, besides you.

I do wish it was on weekends though as well.

I'm not real sure what you're trying to say here, lol. Enjoy your savings, though.

I guess there are some couples who will go at least twice on weeknights in a 6-month period, and there are people who will be taking a group on a weeknight, and it's a deal for them. Sadly, there may be people who pull the trigger on this before reading the fine print.

I'm pretty sure that I'll go 2-3 times in the next 6 months, but it will be Fri or Sat nights, like the majority of their typical customer base. And I understand the whole thing - they are trying to drive business to the slower weeknights. It's packed to the gills on the weekends, as it is. Still, I miss the 50% off (or BOGO) for special occasions that they used to send out.

                          l.
I found that out awhile back. This man packs in the grub. Everybody ate and this guy orders another full meal before the races. Not a damn thing left. Do not let any small animals, women, fingers etc near the plate. They may disappear.
