Yeah screw mi cocina. Its way overpriced for the food. I'd rather eat at OTB. Joe T's is ok food but the patio is nice.

I'm not sure I'd call it real Mexican food. It's more new age Mexican, with New Mexico influence.

Brent and Brian is still correct in that it's worth going, for sure.

Depends on what you order. There is a tex mex section, and a Southwest section. But most of the menu is Mexico City Cuisine. The building and decor are called Mod-Mex or modern Mexican.

In the SW section they have a steak tampiquena that is absolutely phenomenal. Comes with a red sauce and a green, but I prefer the green and order it with just that. The tex mex items are good too.

The Sea Bass ceviche is out of this world. The duck plate is damn good. The ox eye stacked enchiladas are phenomenal. As are the pork belly tacos.

If you ever want to meet the guy Brent is referring to (if you're referring to the executive chef), take a young, attractive, cleavage-showing girl to dinner there and he'll make sure to deliver every course you order. lol.

LOL. Every manager in every restaurant I ever worked in did that. I miss the service industry sometimes.

The patio is beautiful if it's cool enough to eat outside. You won't find better Mexican food within 100 miles. Thank me later.
Honestly better than J.T.G's? If serious please pm me the address.

But for serious, La Hacienda ain't all that great. I also think Mi Cocina is about as overrated as they come, maybe aside from Uncle Julio's or *gasp* Abuelo's. I've never been to Mi Dia From Scratch, though their menu looks good.
Lmfao, you just names 3 of my fav mexican places. If those all suck, I'm missing out. Please tell me where to go that's much better...

Oh ok, now I know why you don't like JTGs or the others listed. Not gonna waste gas unless I'm in area.

What does JTG mean? Just thought I would ask since you're just in here talking to yourself and all.

I like Mi Dia, but my favorite by far is still Mariano's in Arlington. Its not real fancy, or anything.

Joe t garcias. I didn't read entire thread before posting, saw he hated it, then saw what he eats at said mexican places, and declined needing his input. What he suggested is all fancy food, I'm a enchilada and tortilla person. Too picky to try what he suggested. Lol
