  • Maple and Motor, Burgers & Beer

Went there Sunday on the way to the gun show.

Burger was awesome. Probably one of the best patties I've had on a burger in a long time.

I just got the standard cheeseburger, it comes served medium and is a 1/2 pound patty. It did come with relish instead of pickles, which I'm not a fan of, but it was still good. Also got the onion rings, and they were Whataburger style rings, cooked nice and crispy. They have Dublin Bottleworks sodas on tap, unfortunately no Dr. Pepper. My buddies ordered grilled jalapenos on theirs and they were staked high with fresh sliced and flat top grilled jalapenos. More than they could handle, so I took a couple from each of them.

The place was packed when we got there, but the service was quick. You guys might have seen the place on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Jack the owner was standing up by the register when we walked in. He made a comment about my Band of Heathens T-shirt, and was a pretty cool guy. Wandering around trying to kill a couple of flies with a flyswatter, and greeting people as they walked in.

That place stays busy. You wait to park. You wait in line to order. You wait for an empty table. You wait for your burger. It's also worth it! It's an account of my daughters' and she turned us onto it several months back. Nice young man runs it, too.

Kenton is the manager. BIG guy, (played ball at South Carolina?) but nice guy.

burgers are 1/3-1/2 pounders, and the mix is brisket/chuck.

Bun looks a little different to, not your typical Mrs. Bairds bun. Man I keep putting off going there. What time did you hit them up Matt?

Yeah, they used to use Rainbow buns, at least that's what I read on another blog, but I think these are produced somewhere locally. They weren't typical mass produced buns. They were buttered and toasted, and very light.

We got there at about 1-1:30 on Sunday. They close at 4pm on Sundays btw. 9pm every other night.

It was busy, but we got a table right after ordering. I've read that sometimes it's even more packed and people have to wait on tables. Marty got the tater tots, and they were just standard tots, nothing too special about them. None of us got fries, though, so I'm not sure if they are frozen, or fresh.
