Made these for my boy's 1st birthday party this weekend and everyone kept commenting how good they were so figured I'd share in case anyone else hadn't heard of these (I was only introduced to them recently).
1 pkg King's Hawaiian rolls
1 lb. sliced ham
1/2 lb. sliced swiss
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 tsp ground mustard
1 tsp poppy seeds
2 tbsp dried minced onion (or 1 tsp onion powder if you don't like the texture or will have picky eaters)
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Start by keeping all the rolls in tact. Slice the whole thing in half and put the top portion off to the side. Lay the bottom in a 9x13 baking dish and lay out the ham and swiss, then stick the top back on.
For the sauce: melt the butter, then mix in the ground mustard, poppy seeds, minced onion (or onion powder) and Worcestershire sauce. Pour that over the top of the sandwiches, then stick them in the refrigerator anywhere from an hour to overnight.
To bake: Preheat your oven to 350, then bake for 15-20 minutes or until the tops start to brown. Let them cool a bit, then cut them apart and eat every one of these tasty motherfuckers.
