  • Where to get thick cut steaks

Looking to grill this weekend (May 12th)and looking to find the best store to get some 16oz New York strips that are about 1.5" thick.

As for today - grocery store. I don't think David's in Garland is open Sundays. Just tell them what cut you want and how thick. Costco has some prime cuts cheap. But they close at 6.

I suggest buying primals from Hines57 when he posts them, but that does you no good today.

Perhaps you shouldn't have said "this weekend" then.

I think I will try David's since its not too far from the house. The local Tom Thumb used to cut theirs thick but lately they have all been less than an inch.

Don't buy that packaged shit. Go up to the counter and tell them you want a 2" cut.

Just drive to Sherman. Well worth it. About 45 minutes each way from Plano/Frisco/McKinney. Well worth your time and gas.
