  • Time for a New Grill...Suggestions?

I need to replace my old gas grill and was wondering if some of you might have any suggestions on which makes/models are best for your normal backyard BBQ'er. I mostly just grill chicken, steak, burgers, some fish, etc... It's rare that I cook for more than 2 people, so I don't need a giant-sized monster grill.

Any suggestions on grills, or places to buy them?

    Thanks in advance.

If you get a Weber you won't have to make a post like this again. I've had mine for about 7 years and just had to replace the burners this year.
Atlantic Blue '00 - '03 Cobra motor and TKO600, solid axle, full MM suspension
    Silver '01 Vette - D1 blown LS

My Dad has a Weber Genesis and it is awesome, eventually I plan on up grading to a Weber of some sort for gas grilling.

It is just a 3 burner, but I've grilled some pretty good feasts on it.

Ok, so a Weber it is then.

Where should I go to get the best deal?

I helped a friend put together a weber a few weeks ago. The quality seemed sub-par. There were several welds (non support) that were already broken when we got it out of the box.

Weber got sued for labeling them "made in America", when they aren't.

I went with the Weber...don't have the time to mess with charcoal, otherwise I would go with an Egg.

I replaced a series of shitty Char-Broil and other off-brands about two years ago. I dropped the coin on a Weber Genesis and don't regret it a bit. It heats very evenly so you don't have the hot and cold spots that so many cheaper grills have. Makes you look like you know what you're doing since everything cooks so evenly...

I went with a stainless Ducane(was built by Weber) 5 burner and it does work on whatever I throw on it.

Got it off craigslist for a great price.
Got it home, it leaked, but I replaced the seals in it and cleaned it really good and it was like brand new.

Good choice, I have the small genesis, e310 I think? and it has been great. I think the genesis line and up are still made in america?
