The Best Stop. It's in Scott Louisiana, but they do ship. Their smoked boudin is pretty tasty. I work and live in Baton Rouge now and this was a staple for all my trips back and forth to Austin the last 5 months. There is also Dons Specialty meats. I don't feel that it holds a candle to the Best stop.

locally, you can go to Cap'n Dave's in plano, they get fresh seafood, including live crawfish, and also import boudin, gator, andoille sausage, etc.

Yeah I was introduced to the Best stop about 5 years ago when I first started working Oil and Gas. One the Coonasses I worked with told me about it and I was hooked.

            No shit!

I like the store bought shit, but maybe I'll have to try the other stuff.

When I got boudin from Cap'n Dave's the last time it was Savoie's brand and it wasn't very good. Not enough meat in it; mostly rice and not much spice. Also, the shop smelled like old fish so I haven't gone back.
Hebert's Meats makes good Boudin, but the closest ones are in Longview and Lindale. I always get a cooler full of stuff when I am in the area. They also make great deboned stuffed chickens, turduckens, etc.

I just spend $200 at Hebert's yesterday on the way back from hog hunting. Stocked up on pork and crawfish boudin, stuffed chickens, and sausage!
