So tell me about Golden Corral?

Hands down some of the nastiest kitchens I've been in. The last one I was in, I spotted no less than 25 health code violations. And I'm not even that well versed in the food side of health code.

I worked at a Golden Corral while I was in college, and I'll agree to this, that place was nasty. I cooked steaks and fried foods there for three months until I found a better place to work.

I love gc. Nothing really stands out, but there is tons of variety and lots of things are decent. Not to mention some of the deserts are badass.

I remember that now that you mention it. I only went there once when it was like that and remember liking it.

The last time I went it sucked except for the desserts as mentioned before. Their peanutbutter cookies are damn good.

They are buffet only now? When I worked there ('89-90) they still did steaks to order and were sent out to the tables by the waitresses, and as you mentioned, the salad and sides were on the buffet.

I like a buffet, but Golden Corral is pretty much inedible. Holy shit it's bad!

I like Furr's for the cfs and taters. Screw Luby's and the a la cart pricing bullshit. Not worth $30 for what I can eat at Furr's for $10.

Cici's has improved drastically over the last 10-15 years, but it's still dependent on location. I know of one that is worth the coin every time and a couple that are pretty gross.

Panchos is nasty, but I do crave their flautas sometimes.

The Grand Buffet is good for Chinese all-you-can-eat.

I miss the days when Waffle House was ayce. That was hard to beat at 2:30 AM.

It actually has a pretty low activity of water, so not much should grow in it, as long as they clean it thoroughly at the end of the day. I bet they don't though.

I know this sounds crazy, but is every buffet place full of messicans? I have been to 3 in the last month and my wife might have been the only white person in each place.
