Patty Shack and Twisted Root burgers are my choice for non fast food.

I have grown fond of the Whataburger Patty melt.. holy shit it's good.

I need to try Mooyah and Smashburger.

Culvers is alright, I lived down the street from one in Austin. But it's just a fast food burger to me, nothing special.

I've tried Culvers(rockwall) 3 times, 2 times that shit hurt my stomach and the last time was fine.

                  Its a better Wendys.

I went to Twisted Root in Arlington this weekend. It was decent, burger was good and not covered in grease. I wouldnt call it spectacular. The setup of the place was pretty cool, and I think actually made it more desireable as a place to go back to. Overall, the burgers are good, and I will be back at some point.

There is a Hideout Burger on Broad in Mansfield (facing the hospital) that was better than I expected. I think the burger was better than twisted root, but I wasnt impressed with the fries at either place. I will give the Hideout a thumbs up on great service, I was impressed with it when I picked up a to go order.

And while Im at it, Ive never had anything but a nice tastey, moist burger from the Kincaid's in the Highlands. It's not my favorite, but I like it.

The Buffalo burger and a few of their homemade rootbeers at Twisted Root are pretty good, as far as everything else there, it's better than most of the BS overcooked burger joints out there, but nothing super special.

They have a spectacular patty melt, and thier onion rings are huge and taste great too.

Ate at the one in Burleson on Saturday, and then again on Sunday. The sliced jalapenos are the best I've ever had in my life.
