Granted I've never been to Chicago, but personally I really like the deep dish pizza at Uno's in downtown Fort Worth. I always get the Chicago Classic there.

Might give it another try some time but it was a drive for me coming from the hood.

IMO, if you don't like this, you like pizza in general, not "Chicago style" pizza. I've always wanted to have one shipped from the source...but haven't done it yet.

Eno's in Bishop Arts District is fantastic, but it's not Traditional Chicago pizza. They call it "Northern Chicago Style". VERY very thin cracker crust.
LOL @ Cici's being better than Brookyln's. That said, Brooklyn's isn't Chicago style.

Eno's is very, very, very thin. Think I Fratelli's/Campisi's. But the crust is even more thin than that, actually. It's also cooked in a stone hearth oven as opposed to a deck oven. They can't pile all the crap on like they do with a traditional Chicago style. It's almost Neoplitan pizza in style.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

first things first. chicago style deep dish is PIE. it should be like 1.5-2" deep and it should be like eating a pie made of pizza. the cheese is usually under the generous amounts of sauce and toppings. too many places get the crust wrong which ruins it and then it's just like silverback described.

now, i havent been there in about 2 years but chicago street was the best and most authentic i've had in the area but i have not been to celios. they got the crust right with the proper amount of cornmeal and thickness and it's not a grease sponge at all. their sauce is killer which is huge for me cause im usually a cheese only person. personally it was better than my experience at giordanos (i hear i should have gone to ginos).
