Ragu is shit. At least put the pussy on a pedastal and make your own sauce.

Ferrari's was really good, but honestly I like the atmosphere and staff at Andiamo's across the street from Duke's on Beltline and Midway.

Each time I've been there I've had the same waiter, an old italian guy, in his late 60s at least. The second time, he remembered what I ordered months ago, and asked if I'd be having the same appetizer and entree as last time. I was with a different chick this time, and she was impressed that he knew what I liked even though it was only my second time there.

Everytime I've asked for him, and he's taken great care of me. It's a small place, 20 tables, tops, with a small bar. Very old school italian feel to it.

I've heard nothing but good about this place, but I've never been personally. And I won't recommend a place that I have never been to. I trust Matt's judgement though, so if he says it's good, it's probably good.

I dont care for Italian food. I mean, how do you make tomato sauce, cheese, and noddles overly impressive?

There's tons of dishes that don't require a tomato sauce

But the same can be said for Mexican, how many ways can you use beans, cheese, meat, and tortillas? About a million.

There's so much more to real Italian than the watered down American crap.

Another vote for Andiamo's in Addison or Saviano's in Euless. Did the Valentine's Day dinner at Andiamo's and it was superb. Have been back several times since and had a fantastic meal every time.

If its down in the Addison area try Bugotti's of 35 and 12 by the airport. Its hidden away but the food and service are hard to beat. The owner of the place is the hostess and always takes damn good care of you.
