Its more about flavor vs. how hot the grill is. Ive eaten at Japanese steak houses on the habachi grill (not comparing a Japanese steakhouse to an actual steakhouse) but the grill being that hot just cooked the steak faster, it didnt make it taste any better.

I guess I need to go to a better steakhouse then. Dont laugh but the most expensive steak Ive ever eaten eas $26.99 and to me, wasnt worth bragging about....at all.

LOL! Well, uh... Whatever you say.

You ever had waygu beef? It's worth it. And you can't sit there and tell me that if you were able to eat like that on someone else's tab, that you wouldn't do it.

That's not you paying $95 bucks then. I'd try it if someone else was paying for it, but no way in hell would I pay that kind of money for a steak. That's beyond a ridiculous amount of money for food.

Expense accounts are a marvelous thing. Lol.

Your statements about paying for high dollar food then are abit misleading. It's easy to be generous with someone else's money. Perhaps you should base your opinions on buying food as if you were doing it with your own money. Maybe that would alter your perspective abit in relation to everyone else here who would be paying for their own food.

Jesus Christ, Steve. I paid $95 for the exact same size/cut of steak at the Ranch, that Bob's has for $60. I paid the tab. I get reimbursed. But if you want to get technical, my commissions from sales I made, paid for it.

My opinion of food is the same, whether I pay for it or someone else, because I'm a foodie. I go to high dollar places when it's my dime, all the time. Because I enjoy food. You guys throw money at cars (I used to), I throw it at food.

Business casual. I'd wear a button down at least, over a polo.

Guess I'll just bring one to work with me and change before I leave. It's too hot for a button down.

All this steak talk has me wanting to try one of these fancy places. The only "expensive" steaks I've ever had was at Reatta in Alpine and Texas De Brazil. I love good food, but the practical side of my brain usually prevents me from spending that kind of cash on food. I was in dfw a couple weeks ago and went to La Hacienda Ranch, was going to get a steak and couldn't talk myself into it, got fajita and couple beers instead.

TBD is about my personal limit on steak. That's still 50 bucks a head and we only do that on special occasions which is usually my wife's birthday.

From the options above, I would rule out Rafain since that is not the same style and budget as the other two.

III Forks just has the reputation and old steakhouse atmosphere, but I'd prefer Bob's on Lemmon or in Grapevine.

Capital Grille is my overall preference. The one in Plano compared equal to the one in Dallas.

Decided to go to Bob's. Was really thinking about CG's, wifey wanted to go Bob's since we've been there before and she loved it. That and we go to these places about every other year or so. Will try to make it to CG's at least once though.

Bcoop, they still have that special going on, so I'll be trying that steak out.
